Hygiene Information

At Warstone tattoo, your health and safety is our utmost priority.

The moment you step into the studio you will see how serious we are about cleanliness. We use only single-use pre-sterilised needles which are disposed of after every client, as well as sterilised pigments in single-use pots.

Our hygiene procedures exceed the requirements of the relevant health authorities.

All staff have received thorough training on procedures to maintain a sterile environment, so you’re in good hands.

At Warstone Tattoo, we also use the most advanced vacuum autoclave sterilisation for all equipment used in the application of your tattoo.

You can watch your equipment being removed from individual sterile packaging immediately before use

Frequently asked questions

Why do I have to pay a deposit with the booking?

Asking for a deposit means that we have some kind of guarantee that you will show up, these deposits are non-refundable. If you have made an appointment but need to reschedule we can do that and allow you to move your deposit as long as you give us at least 48 hours’ notice. Please notify us by phone, or by coming into the studio, e-mail and Facebook messages can only be accepted if you receive a reply to confirm that we have got your message within the required 48 hour notice period. If you decide to cancel or reschedule and don’t give us a 48 hours’ notice we will keep your deposit and you will go on our ‘naughty list’ which means that if you want to book with us again you will be expected to pay 100% of your booking up-front.

Will I need ID?

Yes, you will always need to bring photo ID with you. However we only accept passports and driving licences so please don’t come to your appointment with anything else.

Can I bring my child in with me when I get tattooed?

I’m sure your child is really lovely, but if possible we prefer not to have children in the waiting area at all. Children are not permitted to go into the treatment area, under any circumstances. If you are getting tattooed and you have a friend/partner/family member sitting in the waiting area with the child then this might be OK as long as the child is quiet.

How do I look after my tattoo once it’s done?

After you’ve been tattooed at the studio you will receive a sheet of after-care instructions on how to care for your tattoo properly. Following these instructions will ensure your tattoo remains perfect for years to come.

How much does it cost?

All prices depend on the size, colour, detail and time. Please visit us at the studio if you have an idea in mind.

Can I have a tattoo before I go on holiday?

We do not recommend having a tattoo before you go on holiday as the sun can cause your tattoo to blister, peel, swell and discolour leaving you with a very painful tattoo. It could also affect the quality of the tattoo.

Can I go swimming after my tattoo?

No. Do Not go swimming till your tattoo is healed and the scab has come off, this should be within 2 weeks of getting your tattoo. In a swimming pool chlorine is present and this will not be kind to your tattoo.

Does it hurt?

No two people are the same. What might hurt on one may not hurt on someone else, though there are several places that hurt more than others. The outline normally hurts more than the shading.

How safe is it?

When you choose a professional studio like Warstone Tattoo. You can rest assured that every precaution is taken to ensure your safety. Please visit the Hygiene section of this website for more information.
